CARING Cards – easy-to-use guides to voluntary and community services in West Suffolk – have been unveiled to Newmarket businesses.
Designed to help companies deal with queries from the public or their staff, the cards cover 29 service categories ranging from sport or caring to issues affecting children.

Each category card lists all of the voluntary and community service providers in West Suffolk for that category, along with their contact telephone number.

There are also six cards explaining items such as employee volunteering, corporate social responsibility and payroll giving, with the view to increase business involvement within our community.

The West Suffolk Consortium for Voluntary Organisations and Newmarket Community Partnership are distributing the cards across Newmarket.

It is hoped companies will use them as a signposting tool for queries that they cannot deal with alone.

Employers are also being encouraged to use them for addressing employee issues and making them readily available for staff to access.

To get a set of cards or for more information about them contact Sue McAllister at Newmarket Community Partnership on 01638 664480 or email sue@ncp.org.uk.
