King’s claim Cullen coup
FORMER Wales Under-20s star Jamie Cullen is to pass on his knowledge of the game to youngsters at a school in Cambridgeshire after joining their sports coaching team.
The 24 year old Cardiff born star has linked up with the King’s School, Ely, to help assist with the running of the schools various rugby teams,
Progressing through the ranks with the Cardiff Blues, Cullen travelled to Dubai as a member of the Welsh Under-19 Sevens World Cup squad and was part of the Welsh Six Nations Under-20 squad, playing in the back row alongside current Wales captain Sam Warburton.
Along with starring for Wales has also played for the top-ranked 1st XV at Loughborough University where he studied for four years, graduating with a BSc in Sports Science and a Masters in Business Management.
“I had first started taking an interest in coaching in my teens and it was while I was at Loughborough that I made the decision to become a fully qualified PE teacher,” said Cullen.
“I’ve been so impressed by the enthusiasm of the pupils and here at King’s. I’m delighted to be part of such a happy and caring community which has made me so welcome,” he added.
