Mildenhall on top in college competition

Four schools and colleges competed in the Forest Heath School Sports Partnership Under-13 Sportshall Athletics Competition at Newmarket College.

Each of the competitions was well contested with few points between the teams along with some exceptional individual performances.

It was the boys’ team from Mildenhall College and the girls of Newmarket College who won their respective events. Both represented the partnership at the county finals in Stowmarket on Tuesday, with Mildenhall finishing second and Newmarket fourth.

Full results: Boys: 1 Mildenhall College of Technology 116 points; 2 Samuel Ward, Haverhill 101; 3 IES Breckland, Brandon 91; 4 Newmarket College 80. Girls: 1 Newmarket College 112; 2 Samuel Ward 104; 3 IES Breckland 100; 4 Mildenhall College 74.
