BOXING: Pat McAleese ready for September showdown

PAT McAleese is set to step up his training regime ahead of next month's British Masters Light-Middleweight showdown with Lee Noble.

On Monday, the 24-year-old from Newmarket will head down to London to start a two-week intense training programme at the TKO Gym as he prepares for the 10 round bout at York Hall, London, on September 11.

Last time the two met in the ring at the Goresbrook Leisure Centre, Dagenham back in March, the spoils were shared with referee Richie Davies scoring the contest 58-58.

"I have been cruising through eight rounds in the gym against some top class sparring partners. Johnny Eames and Derek Grainger are over the moon with my work in the ring." said McAleese.

"I thought I had won four out of the six rounds during our last fight and that should have been enough to win it. This time I will set the record straight.

"I want to win this so badly it's unreal. I am giving it 110 per cent in training and I know that on the night I can win."

After selling his initial allocation of 200 tickets for the fight within five days, McAleese has been issued with another block of tickets for the fight.

Tickets cost 35 and 60. A coach will be leaving the White Hart, High Street, Newmarket at 3.30pm, with seats costing 10 per person.

To book tickets, contact McAleese on 07852980593.
