St Louis complete a hat-trick of wins

St Louis Catholic Academy were once again the team to beat in the Forest Heath Primary School Sports Association Under-11 Sportshall Athletics competition after completing a hat-trick of wins.

The Newmarket-based school, who were triumphant in both 2012 and 2013, topped the standings 
following the completion of the various track and field events with 472 points.

In total, 11 schools from both the Newmarket and Mildenhall areas took part in the event at Newmarket Leisure Centre, which saw mixed teams of up to 15 girls and 15 boys battle it out in 
various contests from relay races through to a standing triple jump and a soft javelin throw.

St Louis Catholic Academy will now represent Forest Heath in the county finals which will take place at South Lee School in Bury St Edmunds on Friday, January 30.

St Louis (Newmarket) 472 points; 2 Great Heath (Mildenhall) 444; 3 Laureate (Newmarket) 398; 4 Exning 388; 5 St Mary’s (Mildenhall) 384; 6 Cheveley 366; 7 Lakenheath 364; 8 Paddocks (Newmarket) 318; 9 Ditton Lodge (Newmarket) 286; 10 Houldsworth Valley (Newmarket) 192; 11 Moulton 186.
