Lisa Redman made a determined start to the 2015 season earlier this month after participating in the Country to Capital Ultra Marathon.

Starting the 45 mile race off in Wendover, the Newmarket Cycling and Triathlon Club member, who was raising money at the event for The Liam Fairhurst Foundation fell over in the first five miles.

Picking herself Redman continued through the hilly, slippery and snow flurried terrain despite not being able to see at some points,

Making up ground in the second half of the race Redman crossed the finishing line in a time of eight hours 53 minutes.

*Callum Wilkinson took a couple of days off from his training schedule to take victory in the London Indoor 3km walk at Lee Valley Athletics Centre.

The Moulton based race walker started lapping the field after only three laps in a winning time of 12 minutes 28 seconds.
