Lauren Watt and Ignacio Laghero will compete at the British Summer Nationals, which get under way this Monday.
It will be the first time that the Newmarket Swimming Club duo have attended the event, which encompasses the top 44 swimmers in the country, all of whom are invited to swim in their specific disciplines.
Head coach Annette Skeet will accompany the pair to oversee their final preparations.
n Newmarket Swimming Club were well represented at the Ipswich Open.
There were some strong performances and several medals were collected.
Tess Wesley won six golds and one silver, while Maeve Pooley claimed two silvers.
There were also medals for Alex Swarbrick (one gold and one bronze), Liam Swarbrick (one bronze) and Millie Talbot (one bronze).
Lewis Oliver, Brenna Broussard, Millie Talbot, Henrika Bouard, Flossie Talbot, Liam Swarbrick, Ralph Wesley, Alex Swarbrick and Cameron Beavis all recorded personal best times.
n Mildenhall Sharks collected eight medals from their outing at the East Region Open Water Championships earlier this month.
Hailey Myers won silver in the 800m novice event, with Hollie Myers taking bronze.
Gemma Welbourn won the 1.5km event, while Rob Garry took silver in the men’s over-25 category.
Jeannie Morley and Jemma Garry clinched silver and bronze respectively, with James Garry winning gold and silver in the men’s combined multi-disability category.
