This year’s staging of the Newmarket Duathlon attracted 126 competitors from all over East Anglia and beyond, with Steven Barnes winning the event with a time of one hour 10 minutes and 10 seconds.

Janice Brown (1.23.01) was the first lady across the line, while Gordon Irvine (1.12.01) was the first to finish in his age category and of the Newmarket athletes who were taking part.

Jordan Black (1.29.38) and Di Thomas (1.32.08) also took first place in their age categories.

Ian Cunningham (1.31.06), Lisa Redman (1.41.12), Pearl Fay (1.49.57), Sheila Shead (1.54.07) and Gilliann Green (1.58.54) also completed the course.
