Jack Kingston has vowed to bag big points from the outset and fulfil his potential after agreeing a deal to return to the Mildenhall Fen Tigers.
Although fans of the National League outfit saw glimpses of what the 19-year-old is capable of achieving during last season, they also saw the teenager take plenty of tumbles when in points-scoring positions, much to both his and their frustration.
However, with the Thurrock-based teenager now feeling dialled in at the club’s West Row track, he has made it clear that a different rider will be seen this time round.
“In both my previous years in the National League I have changed tracks firstly with the Kent Kings then the last season with Mildenhall and it has just felt that I ended up wasting two-thirds of the season before getting going,” said Kingston. “With starting off at a track I have raced around the season before, I want to rack up the points from the start.
“I don’t really think I fulfilled my potential last season.
“A lot of people saw what I am capable of with the double-figure scores I got, but what I now need to do is be more consistent and do that week in, week out.
“I lost a lot of points and money from the falls I took last year and hopefully that is a thing of the past.
“I am glad to be back at Mildenhall as it is a nice little track and the fans make it even better.”
