Stuart Harrison overcame very windy conditions to win Sunday’s Jeagor Farm Lakes match.
Harrison, on Peg 2, fished single and double red maggot on the long pole to win with a mixed bag of silvers and carp weighing 23lb 10oz.
Second place went to Eddie Powell, on Peg 11, who was just behind Harrison with a bag of 23lb 5oz.
It was a real family affair for the Harrisons with Stuart’s son, Gary, on Peg 12, coming in third with 20lb 13oz. He fished the pole at nine metres and clinched his third spot thanks to some fish caught using the pellet waggler late on in the match.

n Newmarket Angling Club have named their team for the Bait-Tech Super Cup clash with Hoskins Haulers on April 5.
Gary Rimmer will captain the team, which comprises himself along with John Millard, Mark Cross, Geoff Arnold, Dave Rees and Trevor Oakman.
The tie takes place at Haverhill Flood Park.
n David Reay won the trout masters heat at Blackdyke Trout Fly Fishery on Saturday. Lots of fish have been caught this week at the venue, with buzzers and small damsel nymphs catching best.
