Harman is back with a vengeance

Eugene Husband (one hour 27 minutes three seconds) led home five members of Newmarket Cycling and Triathlon Club (NCTC) in this year’s Great Eastern Half Marathon in Peterborough.

Clare Fleming (1.31.06), Keith McKarthey (1.35.23), Lisa Redman (1.46.04) and Katie Adams (1.46.26) followed.

n Juliet Vickery (2.18.28) was victorious in her age group and eighth overall in the British Age Group Championships.

n Kate Harman returned with a vengeance at the HaverTri in Haverhill earlier this month.

Having been sidelined through injury since 2010, the NCTC member finished the event in 1.26.58.

Harman was chased home by Sheila Shead (1.49.44), Pearl Fay (1.50.38) and Gillie Green (1.57.51).

Ollie Trent finished first in the Super Sprint in 36.57, while Ian Storey was third in his age category in the Sprint Plus.

n Maxine Lane (1.13.26) was third woman in the Great Notley Duathlon.

n New NCTC member Karl Proctor performed well at the Oulton Park Sprint Xtra Mile finishing in 1.06.06, for fifth in his age group (45-49).
