Golden Horn has been given the thumbs up by trainer John Gosden and jockey Frankie Dettori to challenge for Breeders’ Cup glory after a gallop Wednesday morning.
The sensational winner of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, as well as the Derby, Eclipse and Irish Champion Stakes, will bid to sign off his racing career with victory in the Breeders’ Cup Turf at Keeneland on Saturday week.
Gosden said: “We were happy with how Golden Horn worked on the long gallop and Frankie Dettori was pleased with him.
“The plan is for him to head out on Saturday, He has held his condition extremely well.
“He put the weight back on to what he was before the Arc five days after the race. He has some constitution and that is the one thing that gives us hope racing this late in the year with him.”
