Dave Bowers and David Robb tied on 33 points to share the honours in Mildenhall Cycling Club’s Senior Super Champion competition in 2014.

Club president Peter
Bentley presented them with the prestigious Sawbridge Rose Bowl trophy at the club’s annual prize presentations, held at West Row Village Hall.

This is an unprecedented fourth year running 70-year-old Dave Bowers’ name appears on the trophy, having won it outright between 2011 and 2013.

In the under-18s’ version, Ryan Skeats won by just three points ahead of David Robb’s eldest son Alexander with last year’s winner Josh Murad in third. Alexander Robb was chosen as the recipient of the Committee’s Award.

Repeating her success of 2013 in the Ladies’ Off-Road Championship, Diane Mantle finished in front of Jean Poole with a maximum 80 points.

Although in the equivalent senior competition Matthew Mantle was narrowly pipped
by Jesse Towler, he was the clear winner of the Senior Cyclo-Cross Championship and son Colin, 12, won the Under-18 Off-Road Championship.
