Ely City have lost the services of Adie Cambridge, who has joined neighbours Soham Town Rangers in a player-coach role.

The experienced midfielder joined The Robins in January and went on to make seven appearances for the club.

However, he has now opted to link up with Soham as they look to avoid relegation from the Ryman League Division One North.

“Firstly, I must thank Brady (Stone, manager), Martin (Grey, assistant) and Ely City FC for giving me the opportunity to start playing football again this season,” Cambridge is quoted as saying by Ely’s website.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Ely and working with the players both on and off the field.

“The board members welcomed me and made me feel very welcome, I thank you very much for that.”
