Suffolk FA Under-18s produced a stirring display to defeat Norfolk FA 3-1 in their final East Anglian Counties Championship fixture of the season.
The visitors came from a goal down last night at the FDC at Bowthorpe, on the outskirts of Norwich, to finish their campaign on a high.
Connor Ingram put Norfolk ahead from the penalty spot after ten minutes, and the hosts could have been further in front before James Blades scrambled home the equaliser midway through the first half.
The Leiston striker fortuitously put Suffolk ahead three minutes before the break, and the visitors extended their lead straight after the restart when Cornard United’s Tommy Robinson headed home.
Norfolk now need a point from their final fixture, against Essex, to clinch this season’s Len Cordell Trophy, with Suffolk likely to finish as runners-up.
