Soham Town Rangers ended a run of three successive draws in the Ryman League Division One North with a 2-1 defeat at home to Brightlingsea Regent.

Jack Bridge gave the Greens the lead in the 27th minute, before second half goals from Oliver Canfer and Russell Manton gifted the visitors the points to stretch Rangers winless run to six games.

In the Thurlow Nunn Premier League Newmarket Town were beaten 2-1 at league leaders Norwich United, while Dean Greygoose saw his first match in charge of Mildenhall end in defeat with the Recreation Way outfit going down 2-1 at home to Thetford Town.

Ely City’s struggles continue after the Robins crashing to a 4-2 defeat at the Unwin Ground to Kirkley and Pakefield.
