Soham get back on track with win against Aveley

Soham Town Rangers returned to winning ways on Saturday after defeating Aveley 2-1 in the Ryman League Division One North.

After suffering back-to-back defeats the Greens took the lead in the 38th through Ryan Sharman.

It was not until the 80th minute that Rangers doubled their lead with Matt Simpson finishing off Luke Stanley’s square ball.

Danny Francis pulled a goal back three minutes into time added on but Rangers were not to be denied the win.

In the Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division Ely City fought out a 2-2 draw at home to Haverhill Rovers, while Mildenhall Town crashed to their third defeat in their last four league games after going down 1-0 at home to Stanway Rovers.
