n Mildenhall referees George Byrne and Abi Marriott have been awarded promotions by the Football Association.
It means that the pair can now officiate matches up to and including the Ryman League Premier Division.
On top of that, they will also be able to act as assistant referees on National League North and South fixtures.
Byrne and Marriott are two of seven Suffolk-based officials to have had their development rewarded with promotions.
“We are delighted for our Suffolk referees who have been promoted to the next stage of their refereeing career,” said Suffolk FA Referee Development Officer Mary Harmer.
“Each of them have demonstrated a season of hard work, commitment and dedication and have been rewarded by the FA for this.
“We wish them all the very best for their new challenge.”
