The 2016-17 Thurlow Nunn League season will have a staggered start after many of its clubs turned down the option of a July 30 start date.
With the extra preliminary round of the Emirates FA Cup taking place on Saturday, August 6, the Thurlow Nunn League have offered its clubs to play their opening game on the Saturday before (July 30).
Only 14 clubs have taken up the option of starting their season on July 30 though, with 10 other clubs set to begin their campaigns on the following Tuesday or Wednesday.
On July 30, Premier Division sides Hadleigh United and Thetford Town begin with trips to Fakenham Town and FC Clacton, while in the First Division, Halstead Town host Needham Market Reserves and AFC Sudbury Reserves go to Wisbech St Mary.
On Tuesday, August 2, Ely City start their first season back in the Premier Division at home to Mildenhall Town, while Haverhill Rovers and Newmarket Town entertain Stanway Rovers and Godmanchester Rovers respectively.
Halstead welcome Sudbury’s Reserves to Rosemary Lane on the same day, with the next day seeing Diss Town visit Dereham Town Reserves and Needham’s Reserves go to their Leiston counterparts.
The full fixture lists for the Thurlow Nunn League season are due to be released on July 15 for the Premier Division and July 21 for the First Division.
