Thurlow Nunn League First Division title chasers Stowmarket Town have pulled off a transfer coup this afternoon with the signing of Bury Town winger Remi Garrett.
The 23-year-old, who joined Bury in 2014 from Ipswich Wanderers, has made 34 appearances for the Ryman League Division One North side this term.
However, he has now agreed terms with Stowmarket and could make his debut during tomorrow’s home encounter against Downham Town (3pm).
“I’m delighted to welcome Remi Garrett to the club. (He is) a great addition,” said Stowmarket boss Rick Andrews.
“I’d like to say a huge thanks to Bury Town for their cooperation.
“Remi goes straight into the squad for tomorrow, assuming all of the paperwork goes through in time.”
News of Garrett’s departure has come just a matter of days after full-back Tevan Allen (AFC Sudbury) also headed for the Ram Meadow exit door.
The Blues begin life without Garrett tomorrow at home to league leaders Maldon & Tiptree (3pm). Follow @liamapicella for match updates.
