Mildenhall’s Lou Handy and Exning’s Simon Lawson and Ian Starling were part of Suffolk Over-50s’ recent double success.
The trio were in the team which helped Suffolk finish top of the Home Counties Championship League, and beat second-placed Essex in the play-off final.
Phil Caley (101) and Bill Byford (67) shared a fourth-wicket partnership of 165 runs, as Suffolk posted 271-7 in their 45 overs.
And despite an unbeaten 114 from opener David Thrift, Essex fell 54 runs short finishing all out for 217.
Although the wicket eased during the day there was always something in it for the bowlers, with John Bafico and Jimmy Allan taking three wickets each to help secure success in the final.
