It was a disappointing day in the Gibbs Denley East Anglian Premier Cricket League on Saturday, with Sudbury, Burwell and Woolpit all losing. But Bury St Edmunds’ visit to Horsford ended in a general draw.

Dustin Melton took six wickets for 83 runs for Sudbury in a low scoring game at defending champions Swardeston, and Sean Park plundered 108 runs for Bury St Edmunds at Horsford.

In the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Division One Hadleigh boosted their hopes of survival with a comprehensive nine-wicket win over Copford. But Halstead, Haverhill and Mildenhall all went down to defeat.
