MILDENHALL Fen Tigers were once again victims of raiders from across the border as the Edinburgh Monarchs condemned the league strugglers to another home defeat.
After narrowly going down at Rye House 24 hours earlier, the Monarchs made amends by crushing the Fen Tigers 60-30.

Arriving as the form team in the league, the Monarchs wasted no time in putting points on the board, taking the first two heats courtesy of reserve Andrew Tully.

Trailing by eight points, the Tigers hit straight back with a 5-1 of their own followed by a 4-2 in heat four to close the gap to just two points, but that was as close as it got.

The Monarchs then put together a run of six 5-1 heat maximums to put the Tigers firmly on the backfoot.

Going into heat 11, the Tigers finally halted the tide when Robbie Kessler notched up his second win of the evening.

With the meeting coming to a close, fans at West Row did get the chance to celebrate when Jari Makinen crossed the line for his first win at the circuit in heat 14.

Scores - Fen Tigers: Michal Rajkowski 3; Jan Graversen 1; Kaj Laukkanen (c) 6; Henning Loof 4; Robbie Kessler 11; Kyle Hughes 2; Jari Makinen 3

Monarchs: William Lawson 12; Derek Sneddon (c) 7; Ryan Fisher 9; Matthew Wethers 7; Andrew Tully 15; Aaron Summers 10.
