NEWMARKET Town maintained their unbeaten start to the season as they came from behind to beat Thetford Town on Saturday.
Dave Grainger netted his second double of the season as the Town Ground side brushed aside their Norfolk rivals in the Ridgeons First Division.

In the Premier Division, Ely City suffered their third defeat of the new campaign as they lost 2-1 to Wivenhoe Town.

Russell Flitton had put the Unwin Ground side ahead in the 35th minute, but the away side grabbed two second-half goals to steal the points.

In the FA Cup Preliminary Round, Soham Town were sent crashing out as they went down 2-0 at home against Needham Market.

Mildenhall Town were forced to come from two goals down as they earned a 2-2 draw away at Wisbech Town.

The visitors, who lost striker Robbie Harris to injury in the first half, fought back thanks to goals from Owen Paynter and Chris Bacon.
