DAVE Pinkowski has resigned as manager of Mildenhall Town.
The shock announcement comes on the eve of the Recreation Way outfit's trip to table-topping Wivenhoe Town.

Pinkowski, who took over the reigns as first team manager just 10 months ago, has cited work commitments as the reason for his departure.

The 47 year old will now take on the role of director of football.

He said: "I have had an enjoyable spell managing at Mildenhall. I will still be involved with the club, with my new position allowing me greater flexibility."

First team coach Richard Skelly has been confirmed as caretaker manager.
