Dismay as Huff loses title points

NEWMARKET-based driver Robert Huff drove to third place in the latest round of the World Touring Car Championship only to have his points taken away by the race stewards.
Huff thought he had picked up his fifth podium place in six races in the second race of the day at Brno, Czechoslovakia, on Sunday.

But hours later the 28-year-old driver learned he had been disqualified because of a technical infringement involving the front anti-roll bar on his Chevrolet Lancetti.

A disappointed Huff, who was ninth in the day's opening race, lost the third-place points which would have seen him move into fourth place in the WTCC drivers' table.
