STUDENTS from a Mildenhall middle school showed off their technological expertise after claiming six team trophies at this year's BT NRE Technology Challenge.
The youngsters, from Riverside Middle School, beat off 14 other finalists from across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex, to walk home with the prizes at this year's final staged at BT's regional headquarters in Ipswich earlier this month.

Each team's brief was to design a possible piece of future technology that would encourage people to adopt a healthier lifestyle, before giving a five-minute presentation and to prepare a display stand at the finals.

Leading the school's impressive trophy haul was Year 5 and 6 group Fit For Fun, who walked away with three trophies including the Key Stage Two (KS2) Suffolk title and KS2 regional title.

Not to be outdone, Year 8 group Techno Freaks picked up two trophies including the Key Stage Three (KS3) regional crown. Fellow KS3 group Computer Crunches took away the prize for the best presentation.
