CHILDREN at St Andrew's Primary School, Soham, put their running shoes on in aid of Cancer Research.
More than 300 pupils took to the school field to run a combined total of five kilometres in memory of long-serving teacher Wendy Peachey, who died of cancer last year.

The run, which each participant paid 50p to enter, was staged to replicate the five kilometre Race For Life event which a team of teachers, governors and parents took part in at Jesus Green, Cambridge, on Sunday.

All those running in the Race For Life event wore special t-shirts designed and donated by the school's uniform manufacturer Gambit.

A total sum from both the runs will be announced once the school has collected all the money.
