POLICE have uncovered a cannabis factory at a house in Soham.
The discovery was made on Saturday evening just after 10pm when a drugs squad swooped on a property in Hasse Road.

No arrests were made during the raid but around 300 cannabis plants were seized.

Police were called to the home by a member of the public who noticed the door open and walked straight in to find the cannabis plants.

It is the third drugs factory to be uncovered in East Cambridgeshire in the last year – similar operations have been raided in Ely and Littleport.

Cambridgeshire Police is appealing for anyone with information on the factory to contact them on 0845 4564564 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
