OLIVE Vera Langley, of Carter Street, Fordham, died at West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds, on December 20, 2008, after a short illness. She was 86.
Born in Fordham and educated at the village school, she enjoyed gardening and while bringing up the family she cut and packed flowers for dispatch to Covent Garden market.

While her husband Frank was alive, she enjoyed going on coaching holidays a
ll over the country with him.

She loved spending time with the family, doing crossword puzzles and watching television.

Widowed in June 1997, she leaves a son David, two daughters Doreen and Susan, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Her funeral took place at St Peter's Church, Fordham, on January 5 and the Rev Kate Peacock officiated.

Family and other mourners were: Mr and Mrs D Langley, Mr and Mrs K Pettitt, Mr and Mrs S Hawes, Nichola Langley and Tom, Daniel and Helen Langley, Amanda Pettitt and Luke, Dean Pettitt and Kelli, Shaun Wiseman, Gavin Wiseman and Gemma, Mr and Mrs D Nunn, Liz and Steve Rutterford, Ros and David Powell (Kris, Dave and family), John Reader, Karen Dennis (Nigel), Steve and Helen Reader (family), Janette Collen (Gary), Mark and Julie Collen, Kate Whytock (Jonathan), Karl Rutterford, Simon Rutterford (Clare), Carl Wiseman (Carl, Julie and family), Sue Wiseman, Shirley Badgery, Terry and Shirley Leonard, Mr and Mrs Alan Cornwell (Clinton and Adam), Gladys Cornwell (Hazel and Jack Standley), Josie and Roger Whitwood, Mr D Pryke, Roger Morley, Mr L Buck (family and John Pryke), Maureen Summers, and Mr and Mrs Sparrow.
