THE funeral of Beryl Rosemary Bailey, of High Street, Ashley, took place at West Suffolk Crematorium on May 13.
Mrs Bailey, who was 76, died at West Suffolk Hospital, Bury St Edmunds, on April 30. She had been ill for the last five years.
Born in Shimpling, near Bury St Edmunds, she was educated at schools in the town and in Manningtree, before working as a
school cook. In later years, she worked in Ashley Stores.
A past chairman of Ashley Women's Institute, she also enjoyed bingo at Newmarket Conservative Club and loved gardening.
Mrs Bailey is survived by her husband, Edwin, and leaves two sons, Stephen and Kevin, and four grandchildren, Lauren, Oliver, Charlotte and Scott.
The service was conducted by the Rev Graham Locking and family mourners were: Edwin Bailey (widower), Stephen and Kim Bailey, Kevin and Jane Bailey, June and Brian Jones, Linda Surridge, John Nicholls, Daphne and Sepp Krombacher, Terri Bailey, Lauren and Oliver Bailey and Charlotte and Scott Bailey.
