A 54-year-old man who died following a crash in Lackford has been named by police.

Officers were called around 2pm on Saturday to the collision on the A1101 Bury Road between a white and green Kawasaki motorbike and a black Vauxhall Astra.

Raymond Day, of Falcon Way, Beck Row, who was riding the motorcycle died at the scene.

The male driver and female passenger of the Vauxhall Astra sustained minor injuries.

Police are trying to trace the rider of another motorcycle seen in the area shortly before the collision as they may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Anyone with information about the other motorbike, or anyone who saw any of the vehicles either prior to or at the time of the crash, is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting reference CAD 211 of September 12.
