Unusual Suffolk properties sought for TV panel show

Even if your decor is not as grand as Ickworth House's West Wing's, it may be interesting enough for a new TV show

The television production company behind The Weakest Link is looking for ‘quirky’ Suffolk homes to feature in a new panel show.

12 Yard Productions is producing an ITV show that will see two pairs of contestants visit four homes, take a good look around, then guess the overall value of each home along with its entire contents for a cash prize.

A company spokesman said: “We are looking for quirky, interesting properties with striking décor and unusual contents or collections. We want a good variation as well, so it doesn’t always have to be too wacky; we are interested in hearing from people with more traditional or normal homes but with interesting items and collections.

“We would require the house for three hours of filming - probably late this month or next.

“The addresses of the houses would not be revealed, other than a generic county or city name, and home owners would not be required on camera at all. We would also require our valuers to have a look round a week beforehand.”

They want homes in Suffolk because so many fit the criteria of being historic or unusual, and they are ‘not too far from London’.
