Residents of Newmarket’s Studlands Park estate are concerned over plans to build a warehouse and distribution centre in Newmarket’s St Leger Drive.
The massive structure will be three times larger than a neighbouring warehouse which also caused controversy when it was erected.
Town councillor for Studlands, Christine Pearce and fellow residents met with a planning officer from Forest Heath District Council on Tuesday to air their concerns.
Members of Newmarket Town Council’ s planning committee have agreed to visit the site before they give their views to the planning authority. “Some residents live in bungalows and this is a massive structure which is going to tower over their homes,” said Cllr Pearce.
