Former racing staff had the chance to share memories at the second of two special coffee mornings organised by town-based charity Racing Welfare.
The idea was to provide an opportunity for retired staff to get together and catch up with old friends and colleagues as well as perhaps meeting some new ones.
Welfare officers from the charity were also on hand at The Severals pavilion to answer an questions about its services and give advice.
Stella Cornell said similar regular events had been established by several of racing Welfare’s regional offices including in Lambourn and Epsom were they had proved very successful and it was hoped they would become a regular event in Newmarket.
