Police theft warning

Police have reminded motorists to make sure they lock their cars after thieves targeted three cars in Mildenhall and Lakenheath.

The thefts took place overnight between Wednesday March 4, and Thursday March 5.

Two of the thefts were from cars parked in Woodlands Way, in Mildenhall. Thieves stole a Kenwood car stereo system from a silver Mazda 323.

They then targeted a blue BMW 518 and took a JVC subwoofer from the boot. They also damaged the DVD head unit and the vehicle’s glove box.

The third theft was in Kitchener Close, in Lakenheath, where theives got into a green Honda Civic and stole a Belkin USB car charger along with an iPhone cable .

All three cars had been left unlocked and officers are reminding motorists to ensure that they always secure their vehicles and remove all property from view.
