A man who caused criminal damage at two places of worship in West Suffolk has been given a police caution.
The 36-year old from the Mildenhall area was arrested after two incidents on June 15.
On that day he went into St Edmundsbury Cathedral and damaged a wooden gate, two silver candle holders and an embroidered silk tablecloth.
On the same afternoon he took items from St George’s Church in Bradfield St George and piled them up but was disturbed.
The man has admitted responsibility and it was agreed not to prosecute further say Suffolk Police,
The damage in the cathedral was valued at around £4,500.
