Police arrest two for drugs offences after following car on A11 from Newmarket to Wymondham

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after police followed their car on the A11 from Newmarket to Wymondham last night (Thursday).

Officers from the roads policing unit began following the car after receiving information about a suspicious vehicle. They then made a co-ordinated approach before safely stopping the car near Wymondham at about 10.30pm.

Officers searched the car and seized ‘a large quantity of Class A drugs’, believed to have a street value of up to £5,000, along with a small quantity of cannabis and four mobile phones.

Two men, in their 20s and from the London area, have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and remain in police custody.
