Police arrest teenage boy from Mildenahll after being caught in possession with drugs

Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with drugs offences after stopping a car in Barton Mills.

The incident took place at around 7.35pm yesterday (Thursday) in Newmarket Road.

Officers out on patrol had cause to stop a car which was then searched along with the occupants, resulting in a small quantity of drugs being seized.

The teenager from Mildenhall was arrested on suspicion of possessing a controlled drug and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre where he is currently being questioned.
