Pupils at Fordham Primary School raised £200 wearing ‘silly’ school uniforms to help youngsters thousands of miles away in Kenya who aren’t allowed to go to school without one.

On Monday Year 6 pupils Scarlett Gardner and Thea Allinson presented a cheque to Daphne Holmes and Ray Balmer of the Doxa Project which is working alongside organisations helping to give young people an education. Its current project is with St Monicah Fountain Academy in Nakuru, Kenya. “The money Fordham has given us will be doubled by our fundraising partners so we are very grateful.” said Daphne.
