Newmarket man arrested after 25 reports of racist graffiti

A man has been arrested and bailed following 25 incidents of racist graffiti in Newmarket.

Police received reports of criminal damage to vehicles and properties, including a convenience shop and Lime takeaway in Valley Way, overnight between Wednesday and today.

A 23-year-old man from Newmarket was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and taken to the Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.

He has been bailed to return on February 20.
