Talented you dancers have notched up a 100 per cent success in their recent Royal Academy of Dance examinations.
Some 67 students of Newmarket School of Dance saw their hard work and hours of practice rewarded while seven students successfully passed the challenging Intermediate Foundation Vocational ballet exam. This enables dancers to take their ballet further and involves point work.
They were: Jodie Nunn, Laura Brown, Angel Walton, Ella Bewick, Chloe Brown, Anastasia Atkinson and Elizabeth Ritsema. All seven were successful with one pass, five merits and one distinction.
This has been a busy time for the school with the start of itsnew musical theatre classes, performances for hip hop students and exam preparation for ballet, modern and tap.
The school, which meets at the Turner Hall in Newmarket and has a branch at Soham, is also taking part in Sophie’s Smile ball on June 28 in aid of the Brain Tumour Charity. This is in memory of nine-year-old Sophie Bell from Exning who died from a brain tumour in 2012.
