A second planning application submitted within the space of four months to construct new homes in Beck Row has been received by a district council.
Plans to gain outline permission to build 24 new homes on land at Beck Lodge Farm in St Johns Street were validated by Forest Heath District Council’s planning department earlier this week.
The plans put forward by Southampton based firm AJV Designs arrive on the back of an application submitted in August by Persimmon Homes to build 166 homes on land off Skelton’s Drove.
Under the plans proposed it would see a total of 12 houses, comprising of four two bedroom homes, and eight three bedroom homes, built to placed on the market.
A further 12 houses, made up of nine one bedroom homes, and three two bedroom homes, would be constructed for social rented housing.
An area of open space would also be created within the development, along parking facilities.
The plans will be discussed by members of Beck Row, Holywell Row and Kenny Hill Parish Council at their next full council meeting on December 9.
