Mrs Stuart remains missing.

The Leicester man was arrested by police on suspicion of murder — reportedly the son-in-law of the Stuarts.

Police were granted more time to speak to Mr Paxman. But this morning a spokesperson confirmed he had been released on bail.

Police have also issued an appeal to help trace Ali Qazimaj, last seen in the Thurrock area of Essex. They say he is a “key person” they need to trace in connection with the enquiry.

His car — a silver Citroen C3 with the registration KR06 GHU — was located in Athol Terrace in Dover, Kent.

Police are urging the public not to approach him.

Police attended his home address in Tilbury, Essex on Sunday evening searching for him and Sylvia Stuart, and officers remain at this location.

Detective Chief Superintendent Simon Parkes said; “We are continuing to do everything we can to try and find Sylvia - this remains our priority.

“We believe that locating Ali Qazimaj will help us find Sylvia so we are urgently appealing for anyone who has information on his whereabouts to contact us immediately.”
