Man touches girl and woman in Lakenheath

Police have increased patrols in Lakenheath after a nine-year-old girl and woman were approached and touched by a man.

The girl was walking along The Mallards at around 3.30pm on Monday when a large black Mercedes van pulled up alongside her.

A man, possibly aged 50-60 years old, got out and touched her on the shoulder. The girl ran from the scene.

The man is described as having pale skin, brown and grey hair and an average build. He was wearing a black T-shirt and grey trousers with trainers. The black van had no rear windows.

The second incident happened later that day at around 7.45pm in Highlands. A 32-year-old woman was walking her dog when a man with a black labrador approached her.

He allegedly grabbed the woman’s arm and asked her to go with him. She quickly left the scene.

The man is described as white, 6ft 2in tall, late 30s to early 40s, with a skinny build. He was wearing a camouflage coat, black beanie hat, dark trousers and boots.

It is unknown at this time if the two incidents are connected. Call Pc Victoria MacNamara on 101 with information.
