The Health and Safety Executive is making preliminary investigations after a man died in an incident at a haulage yard in West Row last Monday.
Suffolk Police were called to BCJ Taylor in Friday Street to ‘an incident’ involving a man and a truck.
East of England Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, two rapid response vehicles and an air ambulance from the East Anglian Air Ambulance.
A spokesman said: “At the scene a man, believed to be in his 50s, was treated for life threatening injuries before being taken to Addenbrookes Hospital via land ambulance in a critical condition.”
Police were later informed that he had died.
HSE confirmed today that its inspectors are investigating.
