Brandon-based luxury holiday lodge designer and manufacturer the Omar Group has been named as one of the most inspiring companies in Europe.

The £30 million-a-year turnover firm has been named as one of the London Stock Exchange’s (LSE) 1,000 fastest growing small and medium-sized companies to inspire Europe.

And it is one of just 150 British firms to make it on to the elite list.

The accolade comes shortly after the group was named among the LSE’s 1,000 companies to inspire Britain.

Dean Westmoreland, Omar’s chief executive, said: “We were very proud to be named by the LSE as one of an elite band that gives inspiration to the nation earlier this year.

“To be included in a list of companies to inspire Europe is a greater honour still.

“To be included in such a prestigious report is an enormous achievement and testimony to the hard work and dedication of the 350 plus strong team here at Omar.”

To be selected, companies had to show growth in revenue over the last three years, as well as significantly out-performing the competition.

The result is a list of companies both richer and more varied than ever before identified in an exercise of this type.
