Woman fought off suspect during attempted robbery in Red Lodge

A woman managed to fight off an offender during an attempted robbery in Red Lodge.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was walking along a path in Warren Road, near to the junction with Boundry Road, between 7.55pm and 8.15pm on Wednesday, December 11, with her phone in her hand, when she was approached by a man who shouted at her to give him her phone.

When she refused the suspect tried to grab the phone and struck her to head, but she kicked out and the offender let go of the phone and ran off.

The suspect was described as between 5ft 9ins to 6ft tall, wearing a dark, zip-up, hooded top with a dark cap underneath, dark trousers and black/navy trainers. He spoke with an English accent.
