Van driver killed in Fordham collision

A van driver has died following a collision with a lorry in Station Road, Fordham, this morning (Thursday).

The collision happened to the west of the A142 at about 7.15am.

The van driver became trapped in his vehicle and died at the scene.

Police officers are currently at the scene with fire and ambulance crews investigating the collision.

Insp Terry Furlong, of Cambridgeshire Police, said next of kin had not yet been informed of the motorist’s death.

He added: “Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible as the road will be closed for some time while our investigations take place.”
