A Newmarket group which caters for children and teenagers and recently celebrated its tenth anniversary is looking for more volunteers to help with its activities.

Jill Voss, who has been involved with Kidzone since its formation by the Church of England Children’s Society said: “We provide opportunities to local youngsters, aged between nine and 16 to socialise, gain a sense of belonging and experience a wide range of activities, which they might otherwise not have the opportunity to do. During the summer we were lucky enough to get tickets to the Paralympics, an experience many of the youngsters should never forget.”

The group meets weekly in Newmarket and members and volunteers are pictured here setting off on a recent day trip to Felixstowe. If you are interested in helping, call Jan Stiff on 07944305696, or Jill on 07719644901.
